Electoral Commission
The Church Representation Rules, made under the Synodical Government Measure 1969, require every diocese to appoint an Electoral Commission whose duty is to consider appeals on matters in connection with elections to PCCs, Deanery and Diocesan Synods, and appeals concerning parochial electoral rolls.
The membership of this Commission, five lay and five clergy members, is elected by the Bishop’s Council at the outset of each triennium. Members must be members of the Council.
