Archdeacons of St Albans
The list of Archdeacons of St. Albans goes back to AD 1120.At the time of the Dissolution the Archdeacon was Ordinary of Peculiars, and the holder of the office was instituting as well as inducting incumbents to parochial cures as late as 1554.
