What is St Albans doing about the Environment?
The Diocese of St Albans has an Environment Group – this consists of members of the Diocese with a keen interest in the environment. It has been set up to pool various experts in environmental, conservation and sustainable matters and to advise the Diocese, its Boards and individual churches on all environmental issues.
It has produced a Diocesan Environment Policy, and aims to assist parishes to implement this. The group is happy to visit Deanery Synods and PCCs, as well we are keen to hear news of good practice from parishes that can be shared with others
The group meets four times a year and covers a wide variety of issues and aims to support parishes in their environmental efforts.
The Chair of the Group Dr Richard Southern - you can contact him at r.l.v.southern@herts.ac.uk
