A tool that you may find valuable as you think about the people in the community around you and how you may wish to serve them and get involved with them is 'The Discovery Process', offered by Tearfund - click on the following link to watch a 5 minute video which introduces Discovery.

As parishes are being asked to prepare their MAPs (Mission Action Plans), the Discovery tool may prove helpful in stimulating discussion and ideas. Training in the Discovery process is available from Tearfund - and if you are interested in this, please call Carol Chisnall at diocesan office - cchisnall@stalbans.anglican.org - as a first point of contact, who will then make the referral to Tearfund.
