Diocesan Registrar and Bishop's Legal Secretary
Canon David Cheetham, the Bishop’s Legal Secretary and Diocesan Registrar, will retire on 3rd August 2011 after thirty-three years’ exceptional service to the Diocese.
I have asked Lee Coley, former deputy Registrar of the Diocese until December 2008, to take over those roles upon David’s retirement and I am pleased to announce that he has accepted.
Lee is now a solicitor in the firm of Lee Bolton Monier-Williams and will be based in Westminster where he will have the support and backing of an experienced team at this leading firm of ecclesiastical lawyers. From 3rd August 2011, the Diocesan Registry will be based at 1 The Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3JT
There will be a period of hand-over prior to August 2011 but for the time being all Registry matters should continue to be addressed to Canon David Cheetham at Claytons solicitors, 41 Holywell Hill, St Albans AL1 1HD
