Church of England’s first woman bishop to be in Chester Diocese

The Revd Libby Lane is to be the next Bishop of stockport, Downing Street announced today, 17th December.

Bishop Alan, on hearing of the appointment said:

“I warmly welcome her as one of my episcopal colleagues.”
