Diocesan Board of Finance: Grants for church repairs

The Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF) administers some small trust funds which are available for making grants for repairs to church buildings.

Here is the Application form for a DBF grant towards the cost of church building repairs with its notes for applicants.

Applications are considered at a Parish Shares and Grants Committee meeting and should arrive in the office no later than ten days before a meeting.

The John Palmer Organ Fund

The Diocesan Board of Finance is the trustee of a small trust fund arising from the gift of the late John Palmer. Income is distributed on the advice of the Organs Sub-Committee of St Albans DAC in making small grants or loans:
• to enable churches (not necessarily Anglican) in the area of the Diocese of St Albans to commission proper condition reports on their pipe organ, or
• to small churches, especially in rural areas, to enable them to make emergency repairs to their pipe organ.
