Estates & Trusts Officer

The Diocese seeks a full-time Estates & Trusts Officer to work in the Estates Department which is responsible for ensuring that the property assets of the Diocese are used and managed effectively to support the Diocesan vision of Living God’s Love.  Applicants should be financially aware with experience of property management and committee work.

Assistant Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser

The Diocese seeks an exceptional individual to assist the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser in all safeguarding matters including the development of policy, good practice and training.  Applicants will be professionally qualified and experienced in the practice of safeguarding, able to demonstrate professional independence and sympathetic to the ethos of the Church of England.

Part-time post : 17.5 hpw
Salary in the range £28,880-£34,482 pro rata plus generous non-contributory pension.

Part-time Children’s Worker

St Andrew’s Church in Bedford

St Andrew’s wishes to appoint a Children’s Worker to oversee and develop the teaching and inspiration of the youngest members of our congregation. The post is for 16 hours per week paid at the equivalent to c.£7,000 per annum.  The successful applicant will build on the existing children’s work and develop our ministry to young families and local schools.

Part-time Children’s Leader & Part-time Youth Leader

St Peter’s Church in St Albans

An exciting opportunity to lead the growing children’s and youth work in a vibrant Anglican Church in St Albans city centre.

Part Time: 20hrs p/w for each role
One person may apply for both roles.
Salary: £12,000 p/a

We are looking for two (or one) enthusiastic, warm and self-motivated Children and Youth Leaders who are passionate about children’s and youth work, to take our work amongst young people forward.

The right person(s) will be:
– Passionate about encouraging and enabling young people to grow in their faith
– Keen to develop existing and new activities to reach out and connect with all children and young people
– Able to inspire and encourage volunteers (both youth and adults) to take on leadership and support roles

There is a wide range of activities throughout the week catering for all ages, including toddler groups, children’s groups, youth groups, choir, concerts, and teas for senior ages. Sunday worship is varied reflecting our open and inclusive stance and our aim to welcome all. Our connection to city centre churches opens a door to experiencing ecumenical relationships, and our links with the city council and local schools provide the opportunity to see all our ministry as missional. St Peter’s has a committed team of leaders and helpers that support the different aspects of church life.

We seek a committed Christian, who wants to develop their ministry amongst young people where they are able to show God’s love in a vibrant and relevant way.
