Workplace Matters (WM) Trustee required to fill the role of Treasurer.
The role of Treasurer is a voluntary role. As a Trustee, the treasurer would be expected to attend five board meetings per year. These are normally held on a Midweek evening, preceded by dinner (18h30 – 21h00). It is estimated that five hours per month would be required to fulfil the task. Additional hours could be undertaken if the trustee volunteered for other sub-committee activities.
This position is suited to anyone who has an interest in the work that WM as an organisation does and would like to contribute towards making a difference in today’s organisations. This is a rewarding and fulfilling role as WM has a dynamic and varied board with whom you will be liaising and we have recently appointed a new Director who is focused and motivated to handle the new challenges and expansion that our organisation is facing.
The ideal candidate for this position would be qualified in finance or have practical hands on experience of working in or leading an accounting department. Knowledge of the workings of accounting for charities would also be beneficial.
