Thank you for sending in a photograph depicting an aspect of your parish's life.
We hope to receive many photographs from a wide variety of sources, and would like to use these pictures on website(s), publications and in presentations; we cannot, however, guarantee their use.
We do need to be sure that we are not infringing copyright by publication - and for this reason, by submitting a photograph to us, you agree that it meets the following criteria:
The photograph has been taken by you and you retain ownership and copyright of it, or you have the explicit permission of the copyright owner (normally the photographer) to submit this photograph to us for the uses described in 2.
The copyright owner agrees to the use of this photograph on the diocesan website, in other diocesan publications, being stored within the diocesan IT systems, and being available in the public domain.
The photograph has not been downloaded from another website; photos you find online may appear to be freely available, but they are still covered by copyright.
If the photograph includes those under age 18 you have permission from a parent or guardian of each child for it to be used by us as described in 2.
Please note photographs taken for non-commercial purposes do not require permission of the people shown in them. However, where children are shown it is good practice to check they can be used in the public domain, ie. website, presentations, publications.
Once submitted, the photograph will be moderated by diocesan staff before being published on the diocesan website. ×
