Why be involved with politics?
– a thought provoking answer offered by Christians in Politics (click image):
Politics – and Transforming Communities?
Politics – why should we bother? Because we care about God’s creation and our neighbour. Our engagement should be deeper than simply aligning ourselves with one party. Religious belief, or its nature, addresses the whole of life, private and public. We need to challenge politicians to understand how faith can shape communities, nations and individuals.
We also need to take part by looking to transform our communities, we cannot leave this to one elected individual who represents us. We are an active community of faith, people who get involved, and through this we hold our political representative accountable, and join with them in making our neighbourhoods a better place.
Please consider how you and your church could be involved in transforming your community. I would be delighted to come and speak with your church about how we can have fun doing this – please contact me – either Email: Chris Neilson or tel no. 01727 818147.
