Mission & Growth

Welcome to the Mission & Growth pages – these pages give information and resources to help you participate and respond to God’s mission in your local context and to encourage the ministry of all of God’s people.  Our aim is to help you develop flourishing Christ-centred communities, inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to grow as disciples of Christ and to respond to His transforming love, through serving others.

In support of the diocesan vision, Living God’s Love, our work is presented in four main areas:

• Flourishing Churches – growing traditional forms of church, both spiritually and numerically
• Reaching New People (RNP) – making disciples of Christ through new worshiping communities
• Youth & Children (YAC) – growing the faith of young disciples and encouraging churches to embrace them fully in their church family
• Community & Justice (CJN) – confronting injustices and engaging in action to address local needs – current work areas include Environment, Freedom & Healing Prayer, Mental Health Awareness, Interfaith Engagement
