Things seen about our local community

• Growth in numbers because of increased building in the borough.
• Growth in diversity of culture and language.
• Growing sense of uncertainty and fear for the future, specifically concerning security, economic difficulties, unemployment and housing, plus uncertainty over the future of Bedford hospital.

Vision (for five years' time)

As the local church which reaches out with God's love into the community and lives out its vision statement of: Showing Love, Giving Hope, Bringing Peace.

Priorities (for the next five years)

• Continue to use our church sites to attract, support and encourage our local community
• Extend our presence in the parish so that we are seen and known as a vibrant community with Jesus at the centre
• Maintain and strengthen our partnership with other churches in Bedford, becoming a beacon of light and salt for all

Goals (for the next year)

• Increase collaboration between the 2 church centres, with a focus on fellowship and prayer.
• Re-invigorate our approach to mission within and outside the Parish.
• Maintain and develop our established commitment to giving.
• Maintain and support our church ministry and community during the forthcoming vacancy.
• Pray for, identify, recruit, welcome and support a new Rector.
