Our Looking

Things seen about our local community

  • We are a small rural parish of about 450.
  • There are very few children or young people living in the parish.
  • The parish may have large scale housing development in 5-10 years through the North Harlow extension.

Three things we have seen about our church

  • We have one service in each of our two churches each month.
  • The regular congregation is 2 in each church, very occasionally more.
  • There is a group of non-church going parishioners who are active in keeping the buildings going.

Our Discerning

Vision (for five years' time)

We need at least to maintain the status quo until or in the case of major developments. Then we need to be ready to make the most of the opportunities that the developments present.

Priorities (for the next five years)

  • Maintain the buildings and churchyards pending housing expansion in the area.

Goals (for the next year)

  • When housing development happens, Terlings Park - 200+ homes, or North Harlow - 10,000 homes, hold services every week for 6 ms.
