Our Discerning

Vision (for five years' time)

Greater attendance at worship and growth of the worshipping community through sharing God's love and to have greater links with the other parishes in the Benefice to access different activities and resources.

Priorities (for the next five years)

  • To keep the church open as a worshipping community, growing in faith and gaining in numbers. Plan relevant worship for newcomers and outreach into village with Songs of Praise, Harvest Festival, Patronal Festival Songs of Praise, Christingle, All Age Services at Easter and Christmas.
  • To continue to pay the quota.
  • To install sound/loop system and continue the re-ordering of the gathering area.

Goals (for the next year)

  • Progress fabric issues: redecoration, damp, sound system, loop system, roof alarm, attention to trees in churchyard.
  • Encourage attendance especially at 10.30 (Joint) services and Songs of Praise (5th Sundays).
  • Outreach to children - identify who and where the children are in the village, what we can do for them
  • Identify new leadership especially potential church wardens.
