Lead-academy

Many in church leadership today feel ill equipped and insufficiently supported to lead churches in a post-Christendom, post-modern, secularised society. The question for them is not should they bring about change but how can it be done? During recent years it has become increasingly clear that the need for a dedicated, relationally based organisation to envision, equip and support leaders is vital. One of the key issues facing leaders today is the challenge of how to take their churches forward to the next level and become more effective in fulfilling their vision. Lead Academy is specifically designed to address these needs.

Lead Academy invites those who have primary leadership responsibilities along with a number of their leadership team, to participate in dynamic, relational groups (communities) made up of between 5 – 12 churches. All of these will be in similar ministry contexts facing common challenges and opportunities and participants will be expected to commit to the group during the course of their involvement, which will cover a 2 year period.

By employing a collaborative learning approach most of the input and knowledge comes from the group itself and this style enables those involved in church ministry to share experiences, work through common issues and develop realistic and measurable strategies that will significantly equip them for the next phase of ministry. Lead Academy is not designed to be a course or a set programme and no specific model of ‘doing church’ is employed. It is however a safe and challenging place for leaders to advance in their calling to serve God’s Kingdom in a 21st Century context.

Taster Days are available to come along and see if this style of learning would be helpful for you.
