The Big Conversation
Being a Church of All Generations
2020 is the year of the Big Conversation in St Albans Diocese. Read more below and watch our trailer film.
Parishes across our diocese say that among their biggest challenges is that many age-groups are missing in their churches. The Big Conversation is a conversation of parishes across the diocese about being a church of all generations – growing younger.
This will be a conversation about how your parish can explore ways appropriate to your community and your church to do this. Growing Younger is about looking at our churches, being thankful for those of all ages we find there and asking who is missing and how can we become a church that includes all generations together as one community, to the glory of God.

We asked people of all ages from all kinds of parishes, urban, rural, small, large: a cross section of Christians in the diocese what they thought about why the church should explore being a church of all generations – growing younger.
