Lent Day 12 – ‘He entered Simon’s house’

Tuesday 14th March 2017

Luke 4 : 38 – 39

After leaving the synagogue he (Jesus) entered Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her. Then he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.

  1. Lord, give us the words, gestures and touch to relieve suffering, whether in body, mind or spirit. May we be accepting of others, non-judgmental, loving and unconditional in our response to their needs.
