Progress

What progress are you celebrating since your previous MAP?

1. To encourage prayer- participation in Thy Kingdom Come, prayer bookmarks, Lent Course on prayer, monthly ‘Prayer and Praise’ group, housegroups, monthly prayer group meets between 8am & 10am services.
2. To improve the facilities in church- installation of toilet, coffee area and storage facilities.
3. To increase the number of children and families in church- focus on Messy Church. Review of Baptism Policy and introduction of children’s activities during the service; goody bags for baptism families; baptisms held in main morning service.
4. To improve communication with the congregation and Parish- Facebook page; St Mary’s carnival stall; banners outside church; publicity group established; greater use of website & noticeboards (external and internal); pew leaflets; Focus magazine.

A rolling programme of Stewardship initiatives. We have already established a Stewardship Group which delivered a Stewardship initiative focused on giving.
