Progress

What progress are you celebrating since your previous MAP?

The setting up of the Pastoral Care Team
Continuous Missional and Fund raising events such as Community Church Open Day, Jumble Sales, Christmas Tree Festivals, Organ Recitals
Introduction of regular Bible Study groups
Introduction of Community Cafe
Installation of Gas Heating in the Parish Hall with a view of doing the same in the Church in 2020 creating a more welcoming environment for all
We have introduced joint service for the 9:15 congregation (traditional) and 11am congregation (informal) on Easter Day, Patronal Festival, Harvest Festival and Christmas Day. We will also be considering joint services on Remembrance Sunday and the fifth Sunday of the month.
The upgrading of the Sound System has improved communication during services and the the participation of those who have hearing difficulties.

How far did you meet your previous priorities?
(1 star = Not at all → 10 stars = Done)

7 stars

Where has there been less progress than hoped for?

To develop and maintain a dedicated Prayer Group that works alongside the Prayer Chain. We would like to encourage and support an attitude prayer among members of the congregation

Electronic and Social Media communication is still developing. We need to do more to promote the life and events of the church online.

Reaching out to young families and young people

Vision

What is the vision for your Church, Parish, Team Ministry or Benefice?

Our vision is guided by mission statement – sharing God’s love with you.
To learn more about the diversity of people in our community and how we can appropriately reach out to them and make the church accessible to all of them. We want the Church to be the Hub for the community of the Meads and Runfold.

To continue to grow our congregation and to ensure that we are meeting the financial needs of the Parish as set out in the annual budget and appropriately continue to plan for the future of the parish

Values

What are the core values for your Church, Parish, Team Ministry or Benefice?
