Progress
• Set up a monthly Café as a social event
We established a monthly Saturday morning Community Coffee, providing an opportunity to invite people from the parish into church for company and refreshments.
• Provide worship for younger families at a time that would suit them better
In September 2019 we launched a new monthly Sunday afternoon service – the 4pm service which aims to be inter-generational. Those attending have ranged from 0 to 95 in age.
• Have Children’s outreach events
We were able to offer two Holiday Fun Days during the year:
In April 2019 Must Know Stories offered stories, crafts, games and songs and a small element of prayer for primary school aged children. Sixteen children attended.
In October 2019 More Must Know Stories followed a similar format with 22 children attending.
• Encourage everyone to personally invite people to come to Church events and special services
People have been inviting others to the Community Coffee, the 4pm service and special services.
• Hold a “Martha and Mary” day to help us grow in Christ-like love
In August we held a Mary and Martha Day which combined corporate prayer with work to spring clean the church building and churchyard.
• Revive the Pastoral Visiting Group (PALS)
