Progress
Prior to the arrival of our new vicar, St Thomas’ has been through an interregnum and preceding this our vicar experienced some long term health issues. As such this is a new MAP and a fresh new start for our church.
please see above.
Vision
“To share the life-giving love of Jesus with everyone.”
How will we know when the Vision has become a reality in the making?
When we are an enthusiastic and joyful community of believers, where all are encouraged to commit and participate generously in the life and mission of the church.
When we are a people who are flourishing in discipleship and have grown in confidence to explore our God-given gifts and to live out and share the message of Jesus.
When we have grown our church family across all ages and in diversity. When strangers have become friends of Jesus with us through accessible imaginative worship, generous hospitality and warm fellowship of depth.
When we have reached beyond our walls courageously in mission, witnessing and sharing our faith in life-giving words, and actions.
When we have built life-giving relationships with our local community which are open and inclusive, able to support those in need.
When we are an Eco-church community committed to the environment and the Church of England vision of being carbon neutral by 2030.
