Progress

What progress are you celebrating since your previous MAP?

We have been celebrating that we have been able to broadcast our services live every Sunday via the Facebook app. This has been a positive for us as Covid restrictions cancelled many of our services in church and by broadcasting live, we have gained many friends from near and far. (Europe and the world) We saw God working through the responses we received and
still do, as people are sending in prayer requests and thankyous.

How far did you meet your previous priorities?
(1 star = Not at all → 10 stars = Done)

8 stars

Where has there been less progress than hoped for?

Less progress in outside and indoor activities e.g. Messy Church as the lockdown made this virtually impossible although our children’s page on the website did keep many children in contact with the church

Vision

What is the vision for your Church, Parish, Team Ministry or Benefice?

We are planning to hold a varied range of services apart from Sunday worship. Examples of this are Taize, Celtic services, Healing services and also services which will include the uniformed groups, scouts, air cadets etc. More ecumenical services with the Chapel.
Our aim is to be the centre of the community where everyone is welcome and no one is left out, and positive views on this are coming forward.

Values

What are the core values for your Church, Parish, Team Ministry or Benefice?

Our core values for St. Bartholomew are a welcome to everyone, warmth of community that is felt within everyone we meet. Making and helping people to be part of that which is led by the Holy Spirit in our actions. This in turn affirms our aim to be the centre of the community.
