The Church has been kept open during Lockdown and in particular we had a Christmas Eve Drop In and Stations of the Cross during Holy week which both children and adults used.
Our Social Media presence ensured that many villagers were aware that the church was open for private prayer and contemplation during the day.
We are particularly pleased to have further developed a sustainable network offering regular support to families in need in the parish.
Our Cluster Groups are led by a member of the PCC and consist of members of the congregation who may have been unable to attend church and they have had a regular telephone contact.
A Welcome Leaflet outlining services and groups available at St Marys has been delivered to new developments in Marston Moretaine. A new development is currently underway in Lidlington which will be leafleted.
Our Parish Giving Scheme has been successful in ensuring a regular income stream which was especially important during Lockdown and also to help support essential maintenance.
Tuesday Morning Prayer has developed and now has 5 prayer leaders. We have kept this service on Zoom and have regular attenders some of whom do not attend St Marys. Regularly in the region of 15 members.
We have also run a Confirmation Group with 6 adults and young people being confirmed.
We also ran a Second Pilgrim Course during Lent using Zoom.
Once more we have a thriving Tots Group fortnightly, Wednesday Afternoon Teas and Art Group weekly.
We are particularly proud to have one of our parishioners as an Ordinand and continues to contribute to leading worship and St Marys.
Although we are delighted to have more people contributing to services we have yet to identify people willing to take on key roles such as Churchwarden and Verger. In the forthcoming year we anticipate being able to reintroduce our Home Group for Bible Study.
Our first priority will be to secure a new Priest to lead further growth and development of God’s love in the Parish.

To nurture and encourage the church family enabling them to deepen their faith and to develop and use their talents and abilities. During 2022 to reintroduce our Bible Study Group the leader for which has ben identified.
To identify gifts and talents in members of the congregation and invite them to support church work as assistant vergers/wardens, prayer leaders, bible study leaders, youth and children leaders.
