Seeking the Way

Seeking the Way, a course for laypeople seeking to know better how and where to serve God and his Church.

The next course will run in early 2023.  There are three days, which are all Saturdays: 11 February, 25 February and 11 March.

You can access the 2023 brochure here and read testimonials from previous Seeking The Way delegates here , or watch a video on our Facebook page .  There are three sessions and you do need to be able to attend all three sessions as there will be some preparatory work between sessions.

Ordinations 2022

NEW!  Photos of the Ordination of Deacons are now available here.

This year the ordination of Deacons took place at St Albans Abbey on Saturday 2nd July 2022 at 4.00pm. You can find out more about those ordained Deacon here.

The ordination of Priests took place across the Diocese on either Friday 1st July or Sunday 3rd July 2022.  You can find out more about those ordained Priest here.

The ordination of Deacons will take place at St Albans Abbey on Saturday 01 July 2023 at 5pm.  The ordination of Priests will take place at locations across the Diocese on either Friday 30 June or Sunday 02 July 2023; dates and venues TBC.

 


 

Training for Lay ministry

The Foundations for Ministry Course is for people seeking some training to teaching the Faith (Discipleship Enablers), provide pastoral and community care (Pastoral Enablers) and engage in mission and evangelism (Mission Enablers).  The Foundations for Ministry Course is not currently taking bookings, but will take bookings for September 2023 in the New Year.

There are other courses available, such as training for Lay Leaders of Worship.  More information is available here.


Small group learning
