Events and courses

If you are wondering where God is calling you, the most important thing to do is to pray. You may like to use some of the prayers in this Prayer booklet.

Seeking the Way

Seeking the Way, a course for laypeople seeking to know better how and where to serve God and his Church. We are taking this course online in 2021.

You can access the 2021 brochure here and read testimonials from previous Seeking The Way delegates here , or watch a video on our Facebook page .  The 2021 course dates are Saturdays 06 February, 27 February and 13 March,  10.00am to 1.00pm via Zoom.  You do need to be able to attend all three sessions and there will be some preparatory work between sessions.  Booking is via Eventbrite.

Here are some answers to frequently asked questions , but if you have any other queries please speak to Charles Burch, Diocesan Vocations Officer Email Charles.

Read about what someone who has been on the course thought about it . Ash is at the start of his third year of ordination training.

Training for Lay ministry

The Foundations Course is for people seeking some training to teaching the Faith (Discipleship Enablers), provide pastoral and community care (Pastoral Enablers) and engage in mission and evangelism (Mission Enablers).  The deadline for applications for  The Foundations Course and the CMS Lay Pioneer training course have both passed but we’d love to hear from anyone interested in starting either course in 2021.
