Prayer is at the heart of the life of a Christian. We pray on our own, but we also share in corporate prayer, sometimes in small groups, and always in our church services. Prayers can be prayers of praise, thanksgiving, confession or intercession, but when we are asked to ‘lead the prayers’ it is usually the prayers of intercession that is meant, i.e. the prayers which bring our requests to God.
So this course is designed to help anyone who is asked to lead the prayers of intercession. Whether you have been doing it for some time, are new to it or are still thinking about it, it offers an opportunity for you to consider this key aspect of worship, to share ideas on how to do it, and perhaps to become a bit more confident in what can feel quite a daunting ministry.
