Holy Listening– A Training Course for Spiritual Direction (Diocese of St Albans)
Aim: To equip with necessary skills and competencies those who have discerned a calling to offer the ministry of Spiritual Direction. The course is ecumenical, open to lay and ordained.
Venue: ‘in person’ sessions are usually in St Albans
Date: The Course is run every three years. A new course is likely for 2022.
Cost: Approx £750 tbc.
Details: Sessions will include the teaching of theory and practice relating to Spiritual Direction. Learning will be both experiential and more formal with opportunities provided for personal reflection. The art of listening will be developed in addition to a range of tools for use in this particular ministry. The Course will be ‘mixed mode’ teaching – with a combination of ‘in person’ and distance-video link.

Will you take the Prayers? – Leading Parish Intercessions
Training is offered to Parishes, Groups or Deaneries as desired, on the practice of leading Intercessions principally at Sunday Services, as well as other occasions.

Offered to Parishes, Groups or Deaneries, this workshop looks at various styles of Prayer Group – from Intercessory to ‘Exploratory’ – and how to begin them, continue them and resource them… as well as any pitfalls that may be encountered along the way!
