Who’s Who in Vocations
Diocesan Director of Ordinands
The DDO has overall responsibility for the discernment and encouragement of Vocations in the diocese. The Diocese of St Albans has around 45 people training for ordained ministry, and many people exploring God’s call.
|The Revd Philip Waller
Acting Diocesan Director of Ordinands
Philip meets with men and women in the Diocese who believe God may be calling them to ordination. He guides candidates through the discernment and selection process, and supports them through an appropriate training pathway to the point of ordination. With others in the Team, part of the role is to stimulate vocations to different guises of priestly ministry. This is a part time role carried out in parallel with being a Team Vicar.
