Youth Ministry in a Rural Context
Sharing the realities of the opportunities and frustrations of children’s ministry in small, rural parishes, and how to think wider than traditional “children’s work”.

Fiona is currently vicar of three rural parishes between Bedford and Sandy, having served her curacy in Bedford itself. Prior to ordination training she was a lay children’s minister, and before that a primary school teacher. Fiona is married to Dave and they have two teenage children.
Ruth, as incumbent of three rural villages in North East Herts is happiest when congregations include children and young people. She has worked as a teacher, as a Children’s Adviser and in parish ministry and looks for ways in which children and young people can participate in leading worship. She is mrried to Richard and has four grown up children and three grandchildren
