Oxford success for Kaitlin at All Saints Academy, Dunstable
6th March 2019
Last summer, Kaitlin, a Year 13 student at All Saints Academy, Dunstable, achieved 3 A*s at ‘A’ Level in English, History and Psychology. She had already been offered a place at Lancaster University to study Psychology. After receiving the results, the Principal and Chair of Governors decided to make her an offer of employment at the school for a year, working in the 6th form, doing some teaching, mentoring and administration. They also offered to support her through the application process for Oxbridge throughout the year.
She accepted the offer and was a wonderful role model to other students as well as providing some excellent input into lessons. Last month, following an interview process the previous term, she was offered a place at Jesus College, Oxford, to read English from September.
Chair of Governors, David Fraser said “This is clearly a tremendous personal achievement for Kaitlin and the school are extremely proud of her. This is a wonderful example for the rest of the school community about what can be achieved by students at All Saints Academy”.
