Registrar to leave for senior post in Church in Wales
The Registrar to St Albans Diocese, Matthew Chinery, has been appointed to the post of Head of Legal Services in the Church in Wales.
Matthew will take up his new post in Spring 2019. Matthew has been Registrar to St Albans Diocese since 2015 and has also been Registrar to Chichester Diocese since 2013.
Speaking about the news of Matthew’s appointment, the Bishop of St Albans, Dr Alan Smith, said: “Matthew Chinery has been an exemplary Registrar for the Diocese of St Albans and is a very capable young lawyer. I am not surprised that he is taking another step in his career. He goes with our thanks and prayers.”
