Reaching New People
Diocese of St Albans

What is the RNP Project?

Reaching New People (RNP) is one of St Albans Diocese’s initiatives exploring new ways to reach people who aren’t currently engaged with the Church and looking at how we can make new disciples.

RNP is for all churches, parishes and benefices, of all contexts and traditions and seeks to engage with all age groups and demographics in our communities. It uses the Fresh Expressions (FX) model of church which can take many forms to be adaptable to your situation covering anything from Messy Mass to Taize worship. Fresh Expressions can also be used to describe existing as well as new, mission-focused, congregations. Everything we do is about growing God’s Kingdom.

The programme launched in 2018 and will run for 10 years as we as part of the diocese’s Living God’s Love strategy. We are particularly passionate about looking at fresh ways to make new disciples as we know this is an area where many have asked for additional support.
