Employed Children’s / Families Workers
There are a number of children’s/families workers or ministers employed in our diocese, and we realise their roles are varied, according to the parish or organisation. We run various ad hoc training sessions throughout the year, which we hope will be of benefit to all.
We run bi-monthly networking events, where we gather for a time of sharing, prayer, worship and lunch. We also run retreats, either as part of the general networking schedule, or as an extra date. If you’re not already involved contact the office to ensure you are emailed details of each gathering prior to the event.
The dates for our meetings in 2017 are as follows:
22 March, 22 June (retreat), 27 September, 7 December (Christmas lunch).

Also, check out our Children’s Ministry Facebook page and ‘Like’ it to get regular updates as soon as they are posted.
For parishes looking to employ a Children’s / Families Worker
We are able to assist parishes in the employment and management of their Children’s/Families Worker, from helping to shortlist or interview candidates, through to guidance on terms of employment and how best to support your Children’s/Families worker in their role. If you are considering an appointment do please get in touch with the Diocesan Children’s Mission Enabler.
