Events for Young People
Taize Youth Pilgrimage – Saturday 22 to Monday 31 July 2017
Join the Bishop of Hertford and local young people on a pilgrimage to the Taize community in France. Some of the young people who attended the 2016 event have put together a video about their time in Taize – click here to view.
Taize is a monastic order who welcome young pilgrims from across the globe to spend a week with them, in prayer, worship and Bible study, and experience time dedicated to God. Taize offers a chance to connect with God away from the clamour of the everyday world.
Sunday 26 February, 6.30pm at St Peter’s Church, St Albans
Sunday 19 March, 6.30pm at St Mark’s Church, Hitchin.
More? is a chance for those aged 13-19 years to chill out whilst looking at those challenging life questions. Run by ‘the267project‘ in partnership with Step, details for the autumn term will follow once confirmed. In the meantime, please contact the267project for details.
FUEL is an event that gathers together young people who may already be part of a youth group and allow them to participate in a ‘worship’ event with a greater critical mass than maybe they are used to. The encouragement from meeting with other youth groups for fellowship, food, prayer, teaching and worship is vital for youth leaders and young people alike. Autumn dates to be confirmed.
