Church schools in the Diocese of St Albans
Autumn 2019 update:
Until Deputy Director Charlotte Johnson’s return in autumn 2020, Lizzie Jeanes will be the lead officer for Hertfordshire Schools.
David Morton will be the lead officer for schools in Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough, Luton, Barnet and Buckinghamshire.
Bob Garrard and Belinda Copson will continue their school link officer roles. Please contact them in the usual manner.
Link officers are the first point of contact for day-to-day issues and critical incidents. They can access specialist support for their schools directly from the Schools Team and from the SLA. You will find the necessary contact details here.
Affiliated Schools are non-church schools which work closely with their local parish church and share the Board of Education’s commitment to a values-based, community-focussed education that serves the common good. Affiliated schools have the ability to join the Board of Education’s Service Level Agreement and to attend courses run by the Schools Team. Schools considering becoming Church of England Academies or maintained schools often become affiliated schools in advance of taking on a religious designation.
