Governors play a vitally important role in our schools, contributing to school effectiveness, management and, if a foundation governor, maintaining the Christian ethos of the school. Through its Umbrella Trust, the Diocese also provides members, directors and governors for the diocese’s free schools and academies. If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to fulfil one of these roles, please contact Vicki Barrière on 01727 818170 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are very grateful for the support given to our schools by their governors.

Nominations are now open for the Hertfordshire Association of School Governors (HASG) Governor Awards (deadline 1st June). Some of these awards in previous years have gone to governors in Church of England schools. Nominating a governor for one of these awards is a great way to celebrate successes and outstanding service– is there a governor who you could nominate this year? . Further details can be found on the Herts Association of School Governors website, and you can find the nomination form here.
