You’ll find below information on the current HUBs. There are links to info sheets for each deanery which may be served by the HUB – these have links to local parishes (not an exhaustive list, but those who work with children and young people), ecumenical colleagues, Church of England schools, schools workers, centres and various organisations.
Facilitated by a number of Bedford youth workers, with occasional training mornings for those involved in Christian youth ministry. Contact the Diocesan Youth Office to register for details of future training days.
Hertford & Ware HUB
Still in the early stages of development. Watch this space for more details.
Facilitated around our partners in PHASE (schools work organisation) and The Forum (a network of Christian youth and children’s leaders across Hitchin and the surrounding area).
We have been encouraged by the Luton Unite group, who we see as a key partner. Youth Worker breakfasts are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Equipping sessions are on the 3rd week, alternating between a Tuesday evening 7pm – 8.30pm or a Saturday morning 9am – 11am (these are a time to get equipped as youth workers, spiritually and practically). A full list of dates are available from the Diocesan Youth Office.
St Albans HUB
Facilitated by our partners at the 2:67 Project, STEP (schools work organisation), and the work with the Cathedral. Click here for details of the current training programme for youth and children’s workers run by the 2:67 Project. They also hold regular Youth Worker breakfasts – for full details contact Mike Palin at the 2:67 Project.
If you are in the Berkhamsted area, there are town-wide gatherings of youth workers that you may wish to connect with – contact the Diocesan Youth Office for more details.
Facilitated by our partners at Watford YMCA and Youth Across Watford. Soul Survivor’s ‘Soulnet Equipping Days’ are a series of one day conferences designed to help youth leaders with particular elements of working with young people.
