Congratulations, Ashton St Peter’s Primary!
26th April 2022
Staff, pupils and Governors of Ashton St Peter’s VA Primary School in Dunstable are delighted to announce the outcome of their OFSTED inspection where the school was rated Good with some outstanding features.
Head Teacher, David Bower commented “I am delighted that the consistent hard work and dedication of our team of Teachers, Teaching Assistants and support staff has been recognised in this report. The fact that behaviour and attitudes was rated as outstanding is a testament to our children and the school’s values education.”
Ruth Banton, Chair of the Board of Governors commented “Since we received a judgement of Requires Improvement back in 2018 the whole team at the school, including the Governing Body and senior leadership team, have worked hard to take the necessary steps for improvement. The last 2 years have been a challenge, given the COVID pandemic, but I am so proud that the quality of teaching and wider support for all our pupils has now been formally recognised with this report.”
Behaviour within the school was rated as outstanding within the overall report breakdown with the comment: “Pupils’ behaviour is exceptional. From Reception Year to Year 6, they listen carefully to teachers and are enthusiastic about their learning.”
