St Paul’s, Chipperfield host a Jubilee Afternoon Tea
19th July 2022
St Paul’s Primary, Chipperfield celebrated the Jubilee as a school in the week before halt-term. FOSP (Friends of St Paul’s School) provided afternoon tea and they invited parents and Chipperfield residents, including Chipperfield Care. One villager commented that he had been able to make contact with people that he had lost touch with years ago.
The school were particularly grateful to their Year 6 leaders, who helped to plan and set up the events, serve teas and lead the classes with various activities in the afternoon (including old-school, traditional activities such as egg and spoon, 3-legged, wheelbarrow and sack races). The school’s singing group also added to the entertainment and the day ended with everybody singing the National Anthem. As well as being a wonderful afternoon, it also enabled St Paul’s to further embed their Christian values such as service, sharing, cooperation and love. They are looking at ways to continue to reach out and include the community more with events in the future.
