Special guest at installation
19th October 2016
The Revd David Short was until recently curate-in-training at Christ Church Chorleywood. He left to take up a post in Oxford Diocese.
The Prime Minister was an extra-special guest among the 220 people who came to his licensing and installation as Vicar of St Peter’s and St Mark’s Maidenhead. Maidenhead is the Prime Minister’s Parliamentary constituency.
The Bishop of Reading, Andrew Proud presided at the service.
The Revd. David Short said: “The Prime Minister’s welcome to us was so warm. She enthusiastically told us what a great community we had arrived in. It was a special day made even more special by the Prime Minister’s presence.”
The Prime Minister was very pleased to pose for photographs for Len Kerswill, another member of Christ Church at the installation.
