The Flourishing Churches Team Grows
4th February 2019
It is a great delight that the Flourishing Churches Team is growing, with the imminent arrival of Revd. Paul Davies, who is coming to the Diocese to be Priest at All Saints, Bedford and part-time Church Growth Officer in the Mission Department.
Paul is no stranger to balancing a complex and challenging working life coming to us from Qatar, where, as Senior Priest he held pastoral responsibility for six congregations as well as significant leadership and management responsibilities. His ministry focus has been on building Christian community, deepening personal discipleship and building mission, in a culturally diverse place with sensitivity and understanding. Prior to his ministry abroad, Paul has worked extensively in London and Lichfield Dioceses, and we look forward to welcoming him to minister among the people of this diocese, with specific emphasis on ministry within Bedfordshire.
Kate Peacock, who leads the Flourishing Churches Team, says, “we are delighted to welcome Paul to the team and look forward to the many insights he will bring to Church Growth and mission in today’s world.”
The team also looks for another new part-time recruit (advertising out soon) as this announcement was made just before Christmas:
With sadness on all sides, the Revd Dr Alastair McKay, will be stepping down from his role as Church Growth Officer within the Diocese of St Albans on 12th December. Before joining our team, Alastair worked with the Diocese of St Albans as a much valued independent consultant. We look forward to maintaining that relationship and wish Alastair all the very best for his continuing contribution to the life of the Church.
As ever, please be in touch if the team can support and assist with your parish’s mission and outreach. We look forward to working with you for the building of the Kingdom.
