The Revd Simon Woodmore, RIP

We have learnt with sorrow of the death of The Revd Simon Woodmore, who served in the parish of Bovingdon, Herts.

On hearing the news, the Bishop of St Albans said:

“We in the Diocese of St Albans are all extremely sad to hear of the death of the Revd Simon Woodmore on Saturday, 19^th September and our hearts go out to his wife Michelle and children  Gemma and James.

Simon was a dedicated priest with a fruitful ministry ahead of him. He was a man who combined courage and compassion in his priestly ministry and in his work as a paramedic, not least as he has been on the front line during the Covid pandemic. He was inspiringly cheerful whatever the circumstances. His colleagues and those who knew him are already feeling his loss deeply. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.”
