Godly Play uses simple models and artefacts which can be handled and played with by children. Stories are told so that children and adults are encouraged to enter into the story and discover meaning for themselves. Developed in America, children respond to the stories through play and free choice of creative art, and though its primary use is in schools and churches for children it has also been used successfully with adults in church, in care homes and with the elderly.
