Activity, Conference & Retreat Centres
Within the Diocese:
Chellington Centre – a 12th Century church transformed into a stunning centre, with amazing views across the Great Ouse valley.
Felden Lodge – a conference and training centre located in Hemel Hempstead, also home to the Boys’ Brigade National UK & Ireland headquarters.

High Leigh – conference centre with a relaxed environment within 40 acres of lawns, parkland and woodland in Hoddesdon.
Kempston Outdoor Centre – a full range of challenging and exciting outdoor education and adventure activities in Bedford.
Turvey Abbey – a Benedictine Abbey just outside Bedford, which holds retreats and day visits, courses and more.
Waterways Experiences – they operate three large canal boats on the Grand Union Canal just to the south of Hemel Hempstead. As well as offering day trips all year round, they provide very special holidays for teenagers with learning difficulties or other disadvantages.
