Youth Pilgrimage to Taize
The Diocese of St Albans usually takes a group of young people to Taize in France each year. It’s an opportunity to enter into the rhythm of community life for the week, alongside the community of brothers who live there.
Taize is open to all teenagers and young adults between the ages of 15 – 35 years. The likely cost for 2023 will be around £250-£300 for the week, which includes all food and travel. If someone wishes to come, but is unable to afford the cost, please contact us as we want as many young people as possible to have the opportunity to experience this pilgrimage adventure.
For our 2023 trip we are planning on having the option of both camping and sleeping in a dormitory, in case camping is not your thing. The probable dates for 2023 are: Sunday 30th July – Sunday 6th August 2023
Email Jos if you want to know any more about Taize or if you want to be kept in touch about the plans for the Diocese of St Albans Taize Trip 2023.
During 2020 and 2021, as we were unable to travel to Taize, three dioceses (St Albans, Hereford and Birmingham) worked together to offer an online Taizé style retreat during July. You can still view the 2021 sessions on the Taize at Home Facebook page.
